The Medical Billing and Coding (Voucher Included) program at USC Sumter is a 100% online course designed to prepare students for a career in medical billing and coding. The course covers the use of the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), CPT Category II, and ICD-10 codes. Students will gain hands-on practice using medical billing and coding software and will receive a voucher for the certification exam of their choice: CPC, CCA, or CBCS. The program includes comprehensive training in medical terminology, health insurance, managed healthcare, revenue cycle management, legal aspects of health insurance and reimbursement, various coding systems, pharmacology for coders, clinical documentation improvement, insurance claims, and more.
