KC Medical Coding Training utilizes a comprehensive curriculum to meet the needs of this evolving profession. This course is designed to prepare the student to take the American Academy of Professional Coders CPC certification examination. Course objectives include identifying the purpose of the CPT®, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II within Healthcare reimbursement, understanding and applying the official ICD-10-CM coding guidelines, understanding how to assign diagnoses and procedure codes from medical documentation, and providing practical application of coding operative reports and evaluation and management services.
