The practice-based certificate in health care management at BUSPH, accredited by CAHME, aims to equip graduates with essential analytical and leadership skills to address challenges in the health care sector. Participants will develop competencies to:
- Analyze the organization, financing, and delivery of health care
- Assess the effects of health care policy
- Apply project management and quality improvement tools
- Lead teams and individuals to enhance care delivery
Graduates typically find employment in various settings, including hospitals, health centers, health systems, quality-improvement organizations, health insurers, and consulting firms. Career roles may include direct support for clinical care, such as managers in clinical areas, or responsibilities in business functions supporting care, like financial analysts. This certificate program provides conceptual, analytical, and practical knowledge to aid advancement in the health care management field.
The program can be completed full-time in as quickly as 16 months or part-time in 2 to 3 years.
