The Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at the Baptist Health System School of Health Professions is designed to prepare students for a career as a sonographer. This five-semester program combines clinical application and theoretical knowledge to enable graduates to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, with an emphasis on patient safety and care. Students are trained to work closely with physicians and radiologists, specializing in areas such as abdominal, obstetrics and gynecology, neurologic, or vascular imaging.
