
Central Connecticut State University
Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), founded in 1849, is the largest and oldest publicly funded university in the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system. Led by its first female and Hispanic president, Dr. Zulma R. Toro, CCSU offers over 100 undergraduate majors through five academic schools, including the School of Business and the School of Engineering, Science, & Technology. Located near the state capital, it is recognized as a Community Engagement University by the Carnegie Foundation.
